This blog is undergoing a change of function. For your information, the latin at the banner says "In the good old days, children like you were left to perish on windswept crags." I guess that speaks for what this transformation is all about.

Some companies prepare their employees for retirement. After all those years, it may be difficult to adjust to a different life. Gene Moran poised this question to a group of employees who would be retiring in five years or less: "How would you like to to undergo a transformation from something that is useful to something that is beautiful?" I like to add "how elegant some bottles remain even after they have been emptied of the wine.They stay a while, witness to the superlative vintage it held."
